i recently stumbled upon a sort of archive site with ellen von unwerth works. i can't say i am a fan but i really like her older pictures of milla jovovich (circa late nineties), especially the the face editorial called "how to get ahead in hollywood". it makes me reconsider so, so many things like red lipstick with blue eyeshadow and dress shirts (so sue me, i'm not a fan). i just love it and milla is gorgeous as usual!

















speaking of blue eyeshadow- well, blue eyeshadow! i really like how deep shades of lighter blues (royal blue, turkish blue) look on the eyes right now. did i mention i'm going through a "i need colour" phase?



and i also really like/d these nineties comme see-through trousers that i'm not sure if i won or didn't win (using a shopping service, don't know the screen name of the person behind it). i really hope i did win, they're so rad! oh, i did win a see-through black skirt, though- yes, i'm going through a "i like see-through bottoms" phase, too! eta: i did win the trousers! i think this will be my first pre-2000 comme item ever (my oldest one is a aw00 top/sleeved scarf).

nude lipstick, red lipstick, even black lipstick- please move over, we have two new winners! orange and violet (that sound a bit too halloween-ish together) are my new favourites for autumn. or, as a whole, because "for autumn" sounds so gross, fashion blogger-like and overall fake. i bought a nice orangey red lipstick today and am still lusting over that grand givenchy, i think, violet one. any cheaper suggestions that are no mac, because mac doesn't really have a nice violet lipstick, or at least not one that looks good on me.



not the most flattering pictures but yeah gimme violet lipstick! or do you say purple? honestly, what's the difference?
i also really want to try out fat eyebrows. not bushy, unkempt ones (been there, done that) but the drawn-on type? in all sorts of different colours, though anything other than black or brown would probably be too risque for university. i wouldn't mind trying out red or blue for some party, though.

inspired by this and that for this and that. you know, nothing really productive- just hair, faces, life, etc. and not really completely unrelated, i remember an interviewer told shiina ringo (from an interview from ringo file 1998-2008) that she reminded him of björk. she didn't seem so thrilled about that- you know, laughing and thanking him awkwardly. but he kind of explained that he didn't mean it in the sense of her being "a weird kind of girl", more like that both their presences enchanted people. and you know, yeah, it's sick- this whole "the (country) björk" but i like both their presences. and maybe they really are alike, even in the cliche meaning of the word.

since i'm one of those bloggers (the ones that like innovative japanese/belgian/young and unknown designers, white and creamy colours and colours overall, and crazy prints, and unrelated art, and such, and such, and such; but you know which ones i'm talking about), i obviously like uslu airlines nail polishes. i believe it's high time i got myself some- you know, to be more like those same bloggers i believe i belong in the group of.



excuse me for being so not innovative and excuse the obvious bern that is obvious. i'm still sour about not buying one of his colours when i was at colette last spring.

рекламите на серж лутенс са определено едни от любимите ми. атмосферата е някак мрачна и мистическа, но същевременно и нежна, женствена и красива. усещането за естетиката на '80г. е доста силно, а за мен това винаги е плюс- не знам кога започнах да мисля така, но по мое мнение онова десетилетие е едно от най- оригиналните, най- иновативните. не говоря за шарените клинове и пластмасовите бижута, разбира се- говоря за ню уейва, за експерименталните филми и новите авантгардни дизайнери на онова време, сега световно признати имена.

summaries: i really love serge lutens' commercials- the atmosphere is somewhat a dark and obscure one, yet it's also gentle, feminine and beautiful (if those are words one can use to describe and atmosphere). the aesthetics of the '80s are all there and that's usually a big plus for me- the innovative thinking of the '80s has made me really fall for (almost) everything thought of during that period.
